Did I detect some shifter / tranny issues in the early passes?

It was more of a clutch issue, for some reason the clutch engaged very slowly. The pedal came off the floor like there was an obstruction in the hydrolics. Works ok now, maybe a piece of dirt that needs to be flushed out?

Getting in isn't so bad, buckling up is what takes time. 5 minutes maybe to get everything just right. They want you suited up and ready to go three cars from the line, if there is a problem on the course you may be in there for a while. 90+ heat, fire suit, helmet. that's the fun part.

Never really thought about that, maybe. I sold the patches over on the Y-Block site, might have broke even on that one. lol

Well, I'll be acting as the middle man for the pictures and (hopefully) status reports on how the truck runs. I got to sit down for some quick eats and some bench racing with Tim & Charlie before they headed on down the road to B'ville.

I hadn't seen the truck in persone since I finished the chassis/suspension mod's at the BIGREDTODD garage. It looked like this the last time I had my hands on it:

Image

Needless to say, it was pretty exciting to pull into the lot and see it looking like this (sorry for the crappy cell phone picture):
Image

Then on down the road they went...
Image

Apparently not much to do crossing Nevada other than take self portraits...

Now we're talking...all present and accounted for!
Image

Nothing quite like a B'ville sunset...
Image

...but this is really what we're waiting to see!! Final tech, then time to get down to business!

More to come, as I get pics & updates...

You have GOT to be kidding me? You should be down there taking some of those nice pics you show us. I could just see Jake at speed with that special effect you showed us - FAR too cool!

Yea right huh? That would be fun, I'll have to pay more attention and plan a little trip down. I guess part of the issue is I don't know anything about it, guess I better start asking some basic questions and find out some details on what, where and when and how.
