how cool it would be going to a slick stock with a slick on the back,, too bad geared so low that need to change rear for hwy running

Nothing a late model F 600 rear axle (80's) can't solve.

Geared low? Has 2 speed rear axle, drove one many many moons ago, but was company truck. Have no clue about gas mileage.

my big slick was with 2 speed axle was 8:34 in low, high was 6:33 but now sits under her a 3:73 single speed with rear disc. and lets just say it will run with a vey good top end and fuel mileage still at 15 empty with a 390

6-7 mpg, 8 if your lucky or lots of downhill with those gears. wont be much different empty or loaded either. myself i would be looking for a medium duty 5 speed od trans to stick behind it and help with the gearing.

Plan on coming to Calif. just do not know when yet mid July all depends on next 2 shows +++ I have to dig out some trucks and move a fence line of trucks here and with so much rain cannot get much done
