Weird how they chromed around the lettering on the bottom piece. Or it looks as if they did anyway.

I thought maybe they taped off the script, then polished. But who knows.

I've been in touch with someone about "re-popping" the script. Hope that works out, I would like to polish mine up, but I want the script on it.

That would explain why it looks so perfect then. Well, all but that script...how did they do that?

Sure is a beautiful piece. 8)
Oh & how high? I'm guessing around $430. :?

:EDIT: While we're on the subject of pricey slick parts, how high do you think > THESE < will go??
Every stinkin' time I see a clean set of these on eGouge, the price always gets pushed through the roof! I'd love to have a set of these, but not for that kind of money.

Looks like he may have put tape over the custom cab script. I did a search on dash and I found 65 speedo gauge upgrade and 65 truck_nut is the one who said the paint could be removed from the dash panel. I have not tried it on my dash panel but am willing to try, cheaper than $350.00

Yes, he just covered up the area where the letters are and cleaned around it. You can see the angles where it was taped up. As far as leaving the letter on the trim I was able to get the silver paint off and leave the lettering. I think what I did was to use a q-tip and clean around the letters with nail polish remover. It is not as strong as paint thinner and would do less damage to the letters. It worked fine. I think the silver is just screened on and the actual black lettering is a paint,It seems that way to me. But be careful if you try it this way as to not get into the lettering.

Bidding ended at $355, I suppose my guess was too enthusiastic.

What I don't understand, is it's not even original. Someone removed all the paint to make it look better. The masking job on the custom cab looks terrible. Go figure!
