I'd like that yellow one :thumright: the white one is just too much white. Looks like the car fell into a bucket of paint.

I hear ya! :thumright:
I'd love one too, but make mine a '67 fastback...early '67, with inboard lights. Here's one already trailered-up & ready to deliver to my house! :D

OK, while we are on the subject of mustangs,.......I just bought a 66' coupe w/ a six & a 3sp. It really caught my son's attention. It's a 1/2 done project car and pick it up this weekend. Greg, know of any Mustang forums?

Beauty, eh. Thems the ones rumoured to have either been factory or dealer installed 427's in 'em. :thumright: One with a Cammer went at Barret-Jackson last year, or the year before, for a heap o' cash

I actually like both the yellow and the white. Aside from a Cobra R about as coola Fox body Stang as you can get. I also like the low prodution # of the triple white car at 444 units. A pretty pricey 93 LX for sure but much cheaper than a $200,000 Shelby, definately abit more affordable. Rose is partial to the White one. Here is another Mustang forum too Charlie. http://www.allfordmustangs.com/

I came very close to buying a 1969 Boss 429 in 1988. Local collector car dealer had 2, both from Omaha, both white/black int, one had 40k on the clock the other 60+k, they were 13 #s apart on their vins. These people had repainted one of the cars, I was after the one that was all original (60k) they were asking $44,000 for original car and alot more for the painted one. The original car was nice the way it was. They're probably going for better than a hundred K now. Cool ride for sure, while we are at this (besides Shelby's cause lets face who doesn't want one, lol) I would add the 1971 Boss 351 to my list. I have always been a fan of GT & GTA Mustangs. 67 fastback GT would be high on my list too, there are ones more valuable out there and faster, but it's just a really nice version on the Mustang. I still want an 86 SVO too. This has been fun, LOL, I posted this because the SSE Mustang in the link is alot more cool than my 93 LX convertable which is a 2.3 auto, at least it has the sport package though so it wears the 15x7 "phone dial" wheels. Maybe I'll post a pic of it just for fun.

A Shelby with a Cammer? I didn't know they made such an animal. That would definitely not be a cheap car!

Since we're on the subject of Foxes, here's the only good pic I've got of mine. This was the day I drove it home.
It's an '84 GLX, 302 & 5-speed. Got it for $800 about 4 years ago. It's a fun little car. :)

Since it has a six check out this site. It's a good site like this one, lots of people that have a common interest and like to help each other.

There is a lot of interest about an aluminum head that is just about out for the small six.

Shelbys with cammers... there WAS a 1967 code for 427 engines in Mustangs but I don't think they ever have proven one from the factory, they were dealer retrofits so far as I can tell.

but to every rule at ford there is an exception, here's the Mustang version of the XL, built by Holman Moody. There were more of them, though.

The one I saw go on Barrett-Jackson was similar to that car, but a '67, I think it went around $325 grand.

BTW Boss 429's are going in the 200's too, now. I had a chance at one at an auction about 10-12 years ago but even then, it didn't meet reserve at $50G

That makes sense then. I definitely have lots to learn about Shelbys...Fords in general, for that matter, so I wasn't in a position to disagree. :)
I knew some of the 67 Shelbys ended up with 427's, because they ran out of 428's for a short time, if I recall. Those cars were still badged as 428 cars. Again, just going from memory.

For a while, I was taking a shot at owning a '67 Shelby, but that was in the late 80's, just as the prices started running out of my reach. I doubt I'll ever actually own one now, I'll have to settle for an older Saleen or something. :D

One of my great regrets in life was, just after I factory ordered my '79 Cobra, I found a '68 GT350 convertible identical to this one.
Image

Of course the car was impractical as a daily driver, even then, and even moreso because I lived in an apartment at the time. Also the price of the Shelby was half again what the factory ordered new Mustang was, too.

However that Shelby is worth at least 10 or 12 times, now, what I would have paid for it in '79, and the '79 is worth chicken turd.
