Crap!
Crap!
Well, it's too windy to paint the house (I'm spraying and want the paint on the house not me - I wouldn't look good in ivory), so I decide to work on the Uni. I am in the garage working away with a Fat Tire and the radio on the classic rock station and Rose yells at me - she's standing there with a posture like she is gonna pee her pants. Grabs me by the sleeve and drags me around the side of the house, laying across the fence is a dark colored 4 + foot snake! I don't know what the heck it is but a long stick proved it doesn't seem aggressive, it is a little cool out for snakes so maybe he is just cold. It sort of looks like one of the species of Water Moccasin (slight blotchy pattern and light underneath) but it's a little slender for one of those too, it's body is a little lumpy looking so maybe it just hasn't eaten in awhile, small head for one too though. Kind of freaked us out - been too chilly for any snakes for a couple weeks now. Unfortunately the people across the street who work for the zoo (hey it's not a stupid idea) weren't home to help identify it.
