after 9 years outside the rattle can paint job is starting to deteriorate some.

the frame was done with por15 at the same time, now there are few "bubbled spots" in the por15. not sure if its between the base coat and the topcoat or if its scaling off. still looks good when its clean.

put the y block on the 4x4 frame, moved the 352 front mount crossmenber forward 2" as the y dimension between the 2 crossmembers is 2".
PO of the 4x4 was running a 302 , he had the truck for a long time and had welded 302 towers the the frame and bolted in a rear trans crossmember which i removed.

the cab and bed were bolt on, i did need to make new wood blocks as the 4x4 frame has no arch over the rear axle.
traded doors and hood with a 64 i had at the time.
put all new door and window rubbers in.
redid wiring and added relays for lights
put in the outside cab light, and overhead light bar and lights.
bucket seats, drivers from 67 truck, passenger from early bronco, factory 61-64 bucket seat bracket on drivers side, bronco folding/flip over bracket on passenger. they need recovered but they dont hurt my back so i like them .

it was apart for almost 3 years, first time i drove it was while SS1 was happening but did not go to SS.

total spent just under $4000.
turned down $5K and a quad right after i got it back on the road.
decided not to trade it for a big towtruck once
of all the slicks i have its still my favorite one.

what it really is

63 2wd f250 lwb custom cab and bed 122" wheelbase
62 grille - got a deal on a nos grille on ebay.have not found a good 66 aluminum one yet.
66 f250 4x4 frame 120" wheelbase
61 292 y block, t 98 4 speed.
d 24 t case
spicer 2444 front axle, d60 rear 4.56.

now
needs heads/valve job.

have been collecting parts for installing 240/300 6.

not sure if i will end up changing out the heads with a new set i have and keep the y or put in a 6. also have another running y i could clean up some and use.

i have some more pics of the build when i find them i will scan them in and post them.

hello iceman. would those be the 265R16's you showed me when i asked about wheels and hup caps. i'm looking at the front driver corner picture. that size looks pretty good on your truck.

and nice truck you've got there.
