Went cruising today

Post by Uncle Skip »

Another good day in Houston.
Several of the Houston guys, RatFinkMike, BroncoTom, Richard (more on him later) and I turned out to meet and greet Mike Carson when he came down to collect half of the goodies in Houston.
The camper top, a nice Cougar for a beater, and a big tube of Slick trim courtesy of Mike Wilk all went back north with him.
We drove around in the Slicks and then stoped in the local Dixie Diner for lunch.
Everybody had food except Richard. He had a salad...... NO FREAKING ONIONS, if you please.
Said he was watching his weight.
Now bear in mind, Richard has to run around in the shower to get wet and the rest of us are, as we say, horizontally challenged.
So, I think from now on, Richard should be affectionately known as............................
the "Wabbit".
I mean, chicken fried steak or salad greens????
Anyway, we had a great day and the girls liked the sunshine; but they were a little cranky from being locked away in the garage with all this crappy weather. They loosened up once they got some run time in the sun but had us all a little concerned because of the sputtering and spitting at first.
Cold and rainy is one thing, but I sure do feel sorry for all you guys ass deep in snow.
See ya'll later.

My oldest daughter just flew in from Houston about 3:30 today, said it was still chilly there.

Glad you guys got to go for a drive.

I am getting mine out tomorrow to go to the upholstery shop for a headliner and some other stuff.

Jealously does not even come close to explain how I feel  LOL

Good to hear you guys had a good time. I agree with Brian, you can keep all them heat critters down there. Nothing like a long winter to kill the summer bugs. On a positive note here the snow is melting a little and today got above 30 8) :D

Which would you choose.
Sunburn or frost bite.
Some 35 degree rain a couple of weeks a year or months of arse deep snow and eternal darkness.
Mosquitos, snakes, scorpions, fire ants need love too.
Besides, you guys got hostile bears, killer mooses (sic), rabid beavers, badgers with no sense of humor, no-see-um's, and the biggest damn mosquito's I ever say up there.
I'll stay right here in Houston thank you.
ROTFLMAO

Skip, you guys have crazy drivers, weird mexican trucks with skateboard wheels, and more Mariachi music than I have ever heard in my life, too. 8)

But you do have one advantage, no one can take away.

TEXAS girls

J.C.
You're right about Texas women.
But some of those ladies up north are pretty special too.
Would someone please explain to me who in the world ever taught those people to play an accordian??

Well Unk, I think it's a close race, but despite the accordion, Miss Texas might have a slight edge

hard to say, judge for yourself.
