New Guy From BC
Just joined the site and thought I would stop in and say hello.
Picked up my 66 Merc just before the snow flew. Project start should be spring of 2010.

Welcome from the Portland, Oregon area. Looks like you have a good rig to start with.
There are several members on this site that will try to "talk" you out of your Merc truck. They will give you all kinds of reasons why you should give them your truck. Hard to find parts, low production, Mercury, etc. Be warned.

I wont give it away. From my understanding it's pretty much the same truck other than the badging. I believe I read that the last merc trucks produced actually came from the states Ford plant and had the merc trim added here..

Welcome from Edmonton. I used to live in BC and had a friend with a cabin up behind Tulameen, Coalmont. Used to like checkin out the mines and old cabins in the area. Seems 25 or so years ago, the Parks guys went up there and pretty much burned down all the old cabins up there. Do you ever get up in that area? Curious as to what's left if anything. Do they still have Tulameen days??
