big news here as Olefien is from Anchorage and they just had a 2 hour special on him and the mission on tv a few weeks ago.
this only serves to shows you that even supposedly educated people sometimes are really very stupid.
put her next to Amy Fisher, they must be of the same gene pool.

My wife asked this question what about gas? The car must get good gas mileage

Not sure about all of you, but I just might pull that stunt on the way to Slickstock.

Especially since Skip and phRed will be pulling over to get gas every 15 miles. :steering:

I am at a loss as to what went through her head to toss away the prestige, honor, respect and all that other stuff that goes along with being a Navy Captain let alone an astronaut. After spending 20 in the Navy, it was awfull humbling to see a full bird Captain standing before the judge during her arrainment. She must be awfully sick in the head to do what she did. Something inside her must have broke big time. The Air Force lady was lucky that this woman was not from the killing part of the Navy and had no experience to draw on. A long fall from grace.

I don't quite get it either. There aren't that many women astronauts that have been in space to begin with, I think you could count them on one hand.

Plus she was married with kids.

the silicon chip inside her head must have switched to overload.

They are just as human as the rest of us. Blasting into space doesn't make them any less susceptible to personal emotion or lack thereof. Going off the deep end has nothing to do with her being an Astronaut (Mission Specialist) or a female.

I work with these folks every weekend at Ellington when they go cross-country in the T-38's. Matter of fact, here's a recent pic of one...

See, everything's under control down here.

That is one odd chick! Wearing a diaper to shorten the trip...CLASSIC!

One thing to remeber they have diapers for the space crew. Think about it - (during a space walk) "opps I think I have to go now". naw they just let it go then change when done. Not the first time she has worn a diaper.

Yeah I know and that is fine for that "mission", it's the riding halfway across country passing appx. 7000 fastfood joints, gas stations and truckstops with public potties and thinking "Ah hell I'll save 15mins and wear a diaper so I can terrorize so chick for 10 mins before I get arrested". WACKO!
I cannot understand the reasoning some women use. But what fun would it be if we could!
