dash on e-bay

Post by 1st64bigwindow »

I was just browsing e-bay when I came across something I never seen before. It is a original dash for a 61-66 ford truck with the ash tray built into the dash on the left side of the spedo. It is round and fits in the spot for the optinal gauge.Item number is 280081759547.Check it out it is really cool but to expensive for my blood.Only 23 hrs left.

That factory tach is what's cool! Wonder if those are hard to find by themselves?

It is a rare piece but I would have no use for it in my cab. I don't care for the gauges around the speedo and the tach only goes to 4000. To expensive for a wall hanger. Maybe Leno will buy it!!!

That ashtray thing is odd. The rest of the dash looks like standard big truck stuff...like F750, F850 diesel...doesn't it?

I agree, that tach looks likes it is for the larger trucks.
If so, then the tach is a mechanical one, and runs off the FT and larger engine distributors.
I don't know if it is possible to use that tach on anything you would find in a F-250 or lower.

I have never seen the ashtray option before. That has to be VERY rare. This seller said he has some Slicks. We ought to invite him to join the club. He would be a great knowledge source like FordBoyPete and Hawkrod.
If you drove a Ford, you wouldn't need a good wrench!
