Ha.. I wish I had that shop! Its a good friend of mines.. he lets me work on it there.. He is a Auto Body Collision teacher at the high school here.. the truck is back and forth between the two. I get labor from the kids.. and the expertise of the teacher. who by the way has a 65 slick semi gloss red and white.. cv front end.. its a cool daily beater that he and the kids built last year. workin on mine this year and a 48?? willys panel wagon.. mid 60s chevy pickup.. and a handful of panel jobs.

So.. I feel your pain about the shop! hoping one day I'll have my own.. having grown up with my dad who had a shop. I miss it.. but, for now the garage is my kingdom!

this school has many career centers.. autobody, carpentry.. they build a house from nothing.. iron works.. computer.. other geeky things.. wood shop.. and some form of botany or forestry.

Arkansas has put forth an initiate to build up programs that put kids who arent "college material" to get them in trade schools.. and some leave the program and go right to work for shops. and what not.. its pretty cool..

fille hole is looking good!

I've got a clean radiator support to fix the rot on this one.. would replace it
but its slightly different.. so. just a fix.. dang shame to cut up the good radiator support! But, it'll be worth it.
Image

1st coat of primer and fixing a few waves and small dings that popped up after primer.. the guys are doing a great job.. can't wait to see what we come up with next.

I like the Cragar 390s with the gray center - don't care for the seam in the all polished version so I went with Rodmasters.
I considered the gray center Salt Flats - I didn't like the even if they make a mistake they are your wheels because of they are special order only. I also didn't want to wait 4 months as I was quoted.

American Racing made them - they were out of production when I got them. As a matter of fact I got the last 2 15x8s in our bolt pattern that existed - anywhere. 2 of the wheels came from the west coast - 2 came from NY I think.
Summit also sells a wheel the looks a bit like the Rodmaster and is a polished one piece wheel - you'd have to switch to a 4.5" bolt pattern though. They are priced well though. Summit also has a center cap similar to the Rodmaster 3 bar spinner center cap with the lug not cover like the 390s (Wheel Vintiques).
