Got the seat Dyed black today...
seat is out of an 89 GMC fab'd up some brackets and fits like a glove.
nice classic look too. plus it has holes for seat belts when that time
comes.
Plan on replacing the cloth with leather or vinyl/ pleather whatever.
at some point.. covers are available from LMC that look nice. But,
think i'll find a local stitch shop to make something a little more custom.

Yes, I used Dupli Color Vinyl and Fabric Dye
find it at most automotive stores.. got mine at
advanced auto for 6 bucks a can.. used 5.
I took some time to brush the fabric with a paint brush to keep the
fibers loose and get the best coverage.
I was skeptical at first, but did a lot of research and found that it doesnt rub off or wear off... so far I am very pleased with the outcome.
Well, She's about ready for the first coats of paint.. Hopefully
the Blue will be on tomorrow... and the White (Oxford White) soon after.
Bedsides Sealed up and ready to go.
Marlin Blue -- kinda thick here looks darker than it is.
The filled filler hole
The guys fixed the Rot on the Core Support. Anyone need a Core Support?? I have a good shape one sitting ready to go. Easier to fix the original than replace it.
Cab sealed and ready to go.
Just to Brag on the kids a little, they are doing great work.. and as you can see from the first picture, they get to work on some cool stuff.. that 57 is the teachers personal car.. along with 2 corvette stingrays .. the red you see in the picture of the paint.. a 66 mustang ( complete redo like mine) .. and the old willys wagon thats been in the works for awhile. . . glad I get to go up and work with the kids when I get a chance and get to go check it out on my lunch breaks.. will update on the paint! Picked up a new set of emblems and got my glass ready to go.. so im ready to drive this thing.. been over a year now!
