SpringSplash 2011

Post by quietwyatt »

I have two dates in mind for 2011.
May 28th
June 4th
I'm leaning more towards June 4th due to the fact there are a few members heading to Pigeon Forge in May.
Does the 4th sound good?
Please respond here so I can finalize it and start prepping. This way those who plan to attend can start making plans also.
Looking forward to a great time as usual.

Good point Tim. I forgot about All Ford Carlisle. Another bad point is, I think is the street rods hit York that weekend.

1stbigwindow (Chad)and greyghost (Ben) and Butch (4x4 77) and myself are thinking about going to Pigeon Forge in May.

Should we look at May 28th?

My wife just ask, Why can't we have a FallFlash.

That is correct, not that it would interfere but Street Rod Nats are the same weekend. Matters not to me but May 28 is memorial day weekend. Will you get the turnout? You may get a BETTER turnout!

You do need to pick a date tho.

Ok guys, It looks like the two dates I threw out there are not good ones.
I had talked to a fellow member about it today.
June 4th: All Fords at Carlisle AND Street rods at York
May 28th: Memorial Day weekend. Probably too many family gatherings.
So, The new date will be:
June 11th
I hope this will fit into our plan. I need to take the week off before SpringSplash to prepare for it. I will be making the sweet italian sausage as usual.
Just remember to bring a covered dish, a chair, your camera and your appetite.
I will have to start working on a long distance award.
Thanks
Wyatt

11th sounds good to me. Besides a covered dish what else do we bring. Beer? Sodas? A tent?

June 11th sounds good me!

However, I believe it was Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson who sang...

"...don't let 'em pick guitars, and drive them old trucks.
Just let 'em be doctors and lawyers and such."

Lookin' forward to it!

Well guys and gals, The weather is warming me up and giving me the fever for SpringSplash 2011. I looked over frankiebones photos and really got the fever. I'm ready to go out and start mowing and trimming and getting ready.
I hope this year will be bigger and just as much fun.
Are you all ready?
Here's the link: This was from SpringSplash 09. Anyone with other pics from other Splashes can post them here for teasers. Let's have em. Tease us.
I used the slide show option when I looked at it. Then I put some music on to enjoy it.
