Sorry, imho, I'd opt to put in the correct grill for that year. I needed one for the '65 and found a better '66 grille but I'm anal on originality-- scared.gif Again- JUST ME.

I don't like either one.
My personal favorites are the 61's and 62's, with the '62 being the one I like best.
Since its a '66, you should probably go with that.
But that's just my opinion.
Turn signal lamps should be in the grill.

'66 is the way to go. I had a '64 grille on my '66 when I bought it....the '66 grille just looks better to me.

(Anyone interested in a cheap '64 grille?) :)

I'm with Skip, I do like them all but 62 is my favorite. No idea if they are all interchangeable or not, seems like there were some issues.

66 is my least favorite grill - too "busy".
I like the 62s an awful lot also like the 64. I will be putting a 64 grill in my 64 because it's a 64 - I was going to use the 62 Alum frill I have in it but decided to keep it a 64.

I actually prefer the 64 grill (maybe because my truck is a 64) but I have to agree with the majority. If the trucks a 66, to me so should the grill be.

a nice chrome steel or aluminum 64 with all the correct black paint is my first choice. after that it is probably the 61 because it came factory in chrome steel.

I would keep the '66 grille on a '66. It's a clean looking unit.

I always prefer to see the correct year grille in a truck.

66 is my least favourite year there are way more of them , and it's the one they repop.
I like the '61 grilles the best, and 61 Mercury in particular.
after that , 62, 64, 65, 63 and 66.

Stick with the correct grille.
It's a race.. Will hell freeze over or will JC finish his truck first. Stay tuned..

Another opinion stay 66 if you can. Just for the sake of disscussion. You put in the 64 grille sell the truck novice buys it turns around and lists it on ebay or CL as 64 then you have caused a big controversy as to what year the truck really is. Lol so see stay with the 66 besides the one you bought for $60 dollars looks pretty sharp.
