2011 Spring-Splash Photos!

Post by Sinc »

Many thanks to Chuck, Jackie, Chad, Carl, Ben and everyone else who made today's Spring-Splash a success. Once again, Chuck (aka Wyatt) put together a great get-together and we all appreciate his hard work and dedication.

Charlie won the "Big Door Prize". FYI that is a Nite-Lite that he's holding...

Image

New MAC member "TomRooster" won the "Long Distance Award" for driving his Slick in from Monroe, NJ. Glad that you could join us Tom, it was a pleasure to meet you...

Image

Jim brought his '68 Mercury Cougar and it is OUTSTANDING...

And, of course, there were plenty of Slicks to drool over...

Thanks Chuck and everybody, great seeing everybody again. We made it to Lancaster, the hotel happens to be 3.8 miles from where we need to be tomm. morning. The weather's not looking real great for a balloon ride, they may reschedule. Bill you didn't say exactly what my prize was....it was a edelbrock 4 bl carb with a K&n air filter nightlight, one heck of a door prize huh. who knows maybe I'll convert the light to 12 volt and have a 223 with a 4 barrel. But anyways thanks again Chuck.

AS ALWAYS .....Chuck throws a great gathering.

A few more Slicks would have been nice, but who am I.......mine was at home too.

Thanx Chuck and Jackie !

oh and before Chuck starts bragging about beat me at horseshoes..........It is customary to let the host win !

Thanks to everyone that attended. Was nice to meet Tomrooster the winner of the long distance award. I think he said it was 148 miles one way. Thanks Tom for the visit and congrats on your award.
There were also other door prizes. A 1958 Edsel Avon bottle, 1957 Thunderbird Avon bottle and not sure what the other was.
Congrats to Charlie on the Carburated night light.
And thanks Tim for letting me win at horseshoes.
Should have seen what we did after the ball was over. I'm sure someone will post pics later.
Chad and I did burn outs in the garage. Geesh, I can still smell the smoke.
Oh Chad, It looks like you need to get some sleep in that first pic :rotflmao:
Thanks again guys. It was fun.

I'm honestly so jealous. I wish I could have made it. I've already got a "secret stash" for next year so there won't be any excuses. Glad everyone had a good time!

Thanks for everything chuck and great to meet you guys. I made it home OK but truck was running real ragged so today I found a vacumn leak and a bad spark plug wire and a exhaust leak at the manifold and it's much better now but still avaraged about 18 mpg. Tom

Glad to hear you made it home ok. It was great to have you join us. Hope you enjoyed yourself. Nice looking truck you have. You should be proud. I like your color choice. Hope someone has a pic that shows the color well. Sounds like you have a good set up to get that kind of mpg. Glad you found your problems. Hope to see you at another gathering.
Thanks for coming and hope you had fun.

Man Tom, can't ask for anything better than that. I only get 17 with my 223 and single barrel carb and thought that was good. Nice meeting you btw.

Charlie, it was Turnpike and hiway 90% or more and I kept it around 60-65. The o/d trans makes it possible I guess. Tom
