I have a 65 f100 and it had a/c but i decided to take it off, I relocated my power steering with the only bracket i had for it and it is not sturdy enough, it keeps throwing the belt. there has to be another bracket for the back side of the pump to the engine, I have the one from the front of the ps pump to the water pump. I need everyone on here that has a pic of there powersteering pump brackets to post them where i can go salvage yard hunting and know what to look for. My engine is a 302 and i am not sure what year it is, please only post pics of 302s. and if you know what years your brackets came off of that would be a plus
thanks

Since we know you have a swap and there are so many different versions of power steering setups for a 302 it would be easier to try and identify what you have and then buy an appropriate set. The first thing to do is to determine if you have a 3 bolt or 4 bolt crank pulley. This is the most important thing as it will determine if you have a 69 and older setup or a 70 and newer setup. Based on that I am sure we can get you back on track. A picture would also help but is not critical if you don't mind buying a full set of brackets instead of just parts. The next thing I have to ask is how is the pump attached? Most 302 systems, no matter what year, have a small bracket that goes to the water pump and a larger bracket bolted to the pump. There is usually one large bolt that goes through both brackets to the cylinder head and on an AC engine it also goes through the AC bracket but if you don't have AC it goes through a spacer. Hawkrod
thanks for the reply, I do have the triangle piece that attaches from the ps pump to the water pump, the ps pump its self has a bracket that cradles it,
from your post i now know i am missing the spacer and longbolt to the head. I went to the local hardware store, but there bolts were not near long enough. here is a link to a setup like mine, i have out lined where i think the long bolt needs to go.

Yup, you are in good shape. That is a 70 and newer setup but there are several versions and they all look very similar so I could not tell you specifically which one. You are just missing the stud, nut and spacer. Ford uses a long stud not a bolt for that application and you can get it off of any 1970 to 1980+ Ford car with a small block engine. The spacer is tougher to find because most cars had AC. You can use a stack of washers or machine a spacer. I don't have the dimension in front of me but I do have it and will see if I can find it so you can make your own spacer. Hawkrod
