ok i decided to go out and swap the backing plates and wheel cylinders, got it all swaped out and put back together and low and behold i put the dang wheel cylinders on the wrong side again!! :bangin: so i guess third time is a charm.....

OK, FRONT HUBS ARE DONE RIGHT THIS TIME.. STARTING BUILDING MY BRAKE LINES NOW. THIS SHOULD BE FUN.. HOPEFULLY WILL HAVE MOST OF THE BRAKE LINES RUN THIS WEEKEND.. THEN I CAN START PUTTING MOTOR AND TRANNY BACK IN..

WELL THOUGHT SINCE IVE POSTED PICS OF EVRYTHING IM DOING ID GO AHEAD AND POST MY PRACTICE PICS OF BRAKE FLARING. GETTING READY TO BUILD ALL NEW LINES.. WISH ME LUCK.. LOL

WELL WORKED ON PUTTING SOME MORE SUSPENSION TOGETHER.. PUT NEW REAR AXLE OUTER SEALS. CLEANED UP THE REAR AXLES AND INSTALLED THEM. BOLTED ON THE STEERING BOX AND CLEANED UP THE TIE RODS AND DRAG LINK AND PAINTED THEM SATIN BLACK, AND GOT THEM INSTALLED. MADE THE REAR HYDROLIC BRAKE LINE AND INSTALLED.. AND OF COURSE INSTALLED NEW RED GABRIEL SHOCKS AT ALL 4 CORNERS.. ALL IN ALL HAD A GOOD WEEKEND!! :D

welp more progress this weekend, i got the motor and tranny cleaned and put back into the truck,

sand blasted headers and painted with 2,000 degree paint.. prolly wont last long but it looks good now lol\

got it painted ford blue and yes i painted my streetmaster edelbrock intake lol i like it!

I may have missed it, but what headers are those? Looks like you didnt have any problem with clearance issues on the starter, etc.

oh they are close to the starter alright.. im thinking about putting the stock manifolds back on.. lol not sure what brand headers they are but they do fit really well.. im just afraid its gonna heat my starter up and kill it.. well guess i could always push start it... lol :shock:

ok i went ahead and put the stock manifolds back on, gonna save the headers for a future project.. and got my motor al put together and ryno'ed my core support all while battling bronchitis this weekend.. what fun but i was gonna get something accomplished... so while yall goons were out playing this weekend i was getting stuff done lol

Awesome Build!!! I cant wait to get going on my 66 and looking over your build gave me a better idea of what im going to have to do with my cab.

For what it is worth. We put a smaller high torque starter on my sons big block cougar with no room by starter. Made a huge difference. Even with the battery in the trunk and loong battery cables we were able to advance the timing five degrees with no kick back hot,
1966 F100 240 3speed
1968 F250 Camper Special 390 C6 with 70 Sells slide in camper
1964 Galaxie hard top. 390 dual quads
1962 Falcon soon to have 428 4 speed and straight axle.

well i checked out the fender alignment with all the new bushings and i mudt say i was pleased. also got my clutch pivot all rebuilt waiting on a new clutch rod and bushings from lmc now..

well got some goodies for my birthday sunday.. got a new chrome dash bezel and a new clutch rod and bushings, i was pretty happy! lol

i got a bunch of junk bolts and stuff from work and there were two of these in a bag with some bolts... i have no clue what they really are but they fit my gas tank neck perfectly! lol

got my new clutch rod and bushings from Mac's antique parts.. i must say they were very great to deal with and they take pay pal ... got the parts 3 days from the day i ordered them... now just have to get the oil leak fixed and the new I beams installed and i can install.. lol i need a check list :hm:

ok slixtyfive i guess you were right on the i beams, i still dont understand how they were working before.. but i got the driverside to sit right but the passenger side is way off.. anyway i found a good set of un bent stock beams ive got to sand blast prime and ryno, and replace the bushings.. well i guess in the long run it will be worth it!

well got my 2nd set of I-beams (and hopefully my last) all cleaned up and I installed new pivot bushings from moog.. man all i can say is i was sure glad i bought a new air chisel.. it peeled them baby's right out.. used my 20 ton press to push the news ones right in.. very easy.. got the beams primed and bedliner sprayed.. little bit at a time... hopefully next weekend ill have them put in the truck..
