Very nice! Wonder why that tailgate hangs so cockeyed... takes away from an otherwise nice truck IMO
It's a race.. Will hell freeze over or will JC finish his truck first. Stay tuned..

Man, I really like that paint job!!

I think the tailgate looks that way because they didn't drop the orange color all the way down to the bodyline curve, but did on the tailgate.

No, there's a definite misalignment of the tailgate. The gap is larger on one side. Combining that with the mismatched body line really makes the tailgate look like an afterthought.

It clearly needs some finishing touches, but that is a great colour combo. I'm not crazy about the wheel choice, and I think it needs to be lowered a tad, but otherwise very nice.

cool truck, simple but classy. They did a great job of changing the roof for the 61-63 style.

They did a good job linning up the doors on the cab and linning the bed lines and the cab lines up, but the tailgate looks to be about 1/2 " low. I guess they were tired when it got put on. Other than that its a great looking truck.

That is one sweet truck! I agree, that is a 67-72 tailgate but it should fit much better than it does. Looks like they lowered the tailgate so that the add-on protector would line up. I don't care for the generic rear bumper. I am still trying to figure out why the top of the cab is 61-63 but the floor is 65-66?
Any bets on what the final price will be?

I would have used different wheels and with the money saved put in a chrome grille. Just my opinion, but if you are going to have a painted grille it looks better if it is not the same color as the rest of the body.

All that money spent on the truck and it still has drum brakes?

A roll pan on the rear instead of that bumper.

However I am still dreaming on what to do to my truck so it does provide some good ideas!

Have Fun!

Yall can nitpic the bejesus out of one. But while your at it, okay the vin plate calls it a 67. the dash is a 64down. The hood ornament is not for a v8. no vaccumm hooked to the distributor. Automatic and no backup lights? You would think that all material on doors would match. 2 feet of fuel line is a fire waiting to happen. Yall with those 352's is your pump on the drivers side and carb fuel input on passengers side?

It is a nice truck, but I agree with you mwilk on your points. That tailgate just ain'y right, and that rear bumper has to go. I love chrome but that just sticks out too much, better spent on grill. I get the point its a nice paint job but don't show 50 gazillion pics of it, I want to see the meat and potatoes, what is underneath all that jazz. Let's see the frame and what got patched over the box.

Throw a new suit on me and a shave I clean up pretty good too. 8)

Orange and White are the Tennessee Vols colors. There's just enough crazy fans down here that would overlook the flaws and snap this up. More money than sense.

Way too many body snaps and not enough details - running gear photos would be helpful. I think they're trying to sell to a non-Slick fan who just wants a cool looking truck to trailer to shows and drive on Sunday...

mwilk, yeah, the fuel pump and fuel inlet are on different sides on my 390... same engine. Don't recall if it was that way on the stock carb, I think so... but every edelbrock/carter is on the right rear, dunno holley.

but yeah... it's pretty, but c'MON!!

and the gray vinyl inside REALLY doesn't finish it off nice... looks gross! and yeah, that tail gate looks really bad.
'63 with 390 & lots of juice. But never enough. Always want more.

I know what happened, they hung the last piece of chrome and brought out the liquid celebration stuff. Later to realize they had forgotten to put on the tailgate so they put it on in a drunken state!

That's my story and I'm stickin to it!

:iagree: That's a bumpside tailgate...but it still shouldn't fit that poorly. :hm:
Maybe they had to fix the hinge area & welded it in wrong...beats me.

Other than that, nice looking truck! :thumright: I'd definitely change a few things & fix little boo-boo's the very next day, though. :D
