Nice!! always nice to have a father son pair.... I also have that!! :D they both look to be great starters.... and that is the first time I have seen a flywheel with "bent" teeth :hm:

thanks....they are just half missing....from the middle of the teeth out, they are just GONE....I will be getting another flywheel this week and hopefully can get everything inspecting the clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing, as well as the transmission front seal and the rear main seal of the engine....

The teeth on your fly wheel can be replaced they are pressed on so the wheel itself may not be bad. That will happen if you drive with the starter bendix gear stuck, or if you constantly try to start it while it is running

LORD....I so want these trucks to be perfect, and I am sooo impatient.

My truck:
I want a EFI 302 with Mustang T-5 trans with mustang clutch quadraunt, 79 front disc brakes, power booster, looking original with wheels/tires and a nice CD, stock Seat, Flowmasters, something I can drive anywhere, but with a good paint job, etc....

My sons truck:
I want to redo the bed, repaint the truck, nice wheels/tires, radio, 79 front disc, power booster, and eventually a 302 EFI with Mustang T-5, Flowmasters etc...nice radio/CD player....

the trouble is which order, where to find a decent sandblaster/media blaster, how long it will have either or both of the trucks down, with budget in mind...etc...where the hell is OVERHAULIN when you need em? lol

Try not to be in a rush. the fun is in doing it yourself, with your son getting infected with the madness along the way. The conections you make over a fender ect with your son will stay with you both forever.

If Chip shows up, consider that time lost, the insurance and worry gained, over a truck that really belongs to Chips dream not yours.
Now if he shows up just for the body work and paint....

My Truck: Removed most of the old boards from the "red bed" only to find the bed frame is welded to the actual truck frame... so this weekend I will need to grind off the bed welds to remove this body....I did however buy all my bolts for the board strips, with washers and locking nuts...and in Stainless steel. :)

Matthews Slick: the mastercylinder has been replaced and the brakes are nearing completion if not already completed.... and I also pickuped all the bed mounting bolts, washers, and locking nuts in Stainless Steel as I did for my slick. The price I checked for the bed bolts was $116 plus shipping....I bought mine from a local fasthners store (bulk one) for $60.00 out the door, thats $30 for matthews complete set and $30 for my complete set more than enough to do (2 complete bed installs). They however are not Polished, so I may have to polish em before i install em on at least matthews, since I ordered his bed strips in stainless polished....with the holes stamped in them. I however may not take the time to polish mine...time will tell...pictures to follow as me and my good friend Stanley will be installing the bed boards this weekend and should have them done by the end of next week.

i found a 1996 32v lincoln motor cheap but it has 133,000 miles on it, thinking of buying it and maybe putting it in one of ours, but I am not sure how good it is nor how expensive it will be to get running etc..

yes the wheels were horrible. white shows little flaws from pictures :)
