yep, only problem is this....now I want to media blast the front inner fenders on the end, the entire frame, the cab, the doors, etc...i know it will be right if i do, however it will also add cost to my truck making it to a runing stage, I absolutely hate to half a$$ something... the only problem with not-half a$$ing it is you wind up not getting to enjoy it while its in the teardown stages, the build back stages cost more $ and much more time...i have to make a decision pretty soon which way i need to go with it.

I guess I could always do a pros and cons thing...
pros:
it would be right
it would be better protected from any future rust
it would look GREAT
it could be done once and be done with it

cons:
would have added cost of:
new floor pans,
new window rubber,
new brake lines, steel and rubber
new windsheild
new disc brakes on the front
time to get it back to a running stage would be long

i will think on it and do a poll to see what you guys think...

worked on my slick for about 2 hours tonight. I first seperated the front stone guard from the core support and also the grill. Those bolts were a pita!!! i had to cut them like spliting a carrot then chisel the pieces away, then grind that end of the bolt...
eventually i got it, then I worked on removing some rusted metal with the grinder, and also worked on the front core support frame area, and the inner fender area below the battery. Getting these parts ready to blast and epoxy prime!

WHERE is a good place that I can hide a 10 lb nitrous bottle in my slick?

Paint it red, mount it upright on the passenger kick-panel with the valve hidden and accessible through the glove box lid, label it "For Emergency Use Only".

Why would you want to hide it? That will scare off most people before they even ask to race. Be proud of it.

back in the day (not so long ago lol) I had a hidden system on my 1994 Mustang Cobra...of course it had lots of other goodies, pulleys, tires, x-pipe, flow masters, timing bumped, K&N air filter, Cobra R hood, Cobra R wheels, 3.73 Gears, and of course a bag of Nitrous, bag of nitrous you ask...yes just what it says, its a compu car 10 lb bottle, one solonoid, one power cord (resembling a radar detector 12v cord). a very small nylon line that goes from the single solonoid to in front of the Air filter, oh and a push button on a curley cord that would just reach the drivers hand (which i kept between the seat and the console.)
the kicker was this....the bottle was mounted in a GYM bag on a board.
The trick i used was I would put it behind the passenger seat, let that seat all the way back and lay the seat back to basically touch the rear seat....if someone lost a race and swore i had nitrous, I would open the hood, the trunk and say "well if I have nitrous on here you find it"! NOONE EVER DID!
fast forward to modern day....my slick has no BACK seat! lol
