Well, I got just a little more done... I have the truck cleaned out and ready for the "roll" down to the bottom of the hill... I bought and ran my fuel lines today... tank to carb... I ran metal lines most of the way and used rubber to just do the connections... just a couple pics...

picked up seats... don't know what they are out of but at FREE!!! who cares.... lumbar support and integrated seat belts.. now to figure out how to mount them..
well the first seats didn't fit at all... so I just picked up a new seat, test fitted, and it will work great... came out of a mid 80's Ch*vy but don't think it is original... split bench with center armrest and electric lumbar support... and a good price, not quite free but only $40... it's nice to know people...

Those seats look nice for free. Got to like the wide radious fenders on the 4x4s. Thats how it gets done a little at a time.

Well, after about 2 hours of wrestling with the seats... they will NOT work.. :( they are not too tall and I can do the mounting so I fit under the wheel just fine, buuuuuuut, the seat back is too thick and will not go back far enough to get me away from the wheel.. :? even after trying it all, I could drive it with them but would not be comfortable for any distance. with all this said, they will go back where they came from and I will be on the look again..... just a minor setback... I still have time...

Anthony, My 95 F-350 has a split bench seat with a fold down center in it. This seat has a thin back and should be easy to remove the headrest from it. This seat all mounts on one frame so it should be easy to make it mount in your truck.
I am thinking about changing the seat in my 63 to one of these. The seat inmy 63 is comfortable but the back is too thick and pushes me to far forward.

I used a 94 seat in my 67. Should be the same for our Slicks.

That looks awesome. I used powder coated chrome on my oil pan just for grins. I thought it would be a great solution for a grill too. Thanks for proving it! Mine's steel so I plan to do the same with it.
