Slick 60's

I'm exploring options for my rearend. I planned on doing a triagulated with coil over and a notch, but prices are killing me. I still have to replace the floor and steps on my 61 uni. Was wondering is anyone had any pics of a flipped rear so I can see the stance. Also need new leaf springs if thats the way I go. My drivers side is pretty much flat straight across. Anyone know any of the prices on those and where I can get them. Thanks

did you look at monoleafs from No Limit yet?
They just bolt in - bout as easy as it gets.
I have them on the front of my 64 (custom spring pack in the rear).
The reverse eye give you a 4 1/2" drop at the suspension.

Sully that is a killer stance. Pretty much where I wanna go with. Did you make the notch yourself? Greg is no limit the only place to get the springs? There is a shop called inline suspension here in Lincoln that I was gonna check with to see if I could get them to look at it. Thanks for your help!!

This is the place i bought my mono's from call and ask for a package deal, I got front and back springs and new shocks F&R for a grand .

Red I will have a couple sets of stock springs from a 62 SB uni and a 63 LB uni here before to long since I am putting my 62 on a crown vic chassis I wont be needing any of the springs .

Here's my flipped rear I didn't C notch though I put hijacker air shocks on back ,stiff suspension but no bumping!

Yes, I made the notches from 2x2x3/16 angle (if memory serves) All you have to do is cut one of the legs of the angle in two places where you want the bends, bend them, trace the profile on the frame and cut. I used a plasma cutter, but a cutoff wheel works too. I had removed a leaf from the spring pack and the bed floor sat 1/4" off the pumpkin after the flip. I ended up incorporating an add-a-leaf which give the stance in the pictures. I don't want to cut a relief in my bed floor, so this is max lowered if it's not going to bottom out over bumps.

I also c-notched the front for my front axle flip but I boxed the frame because the weight of the motor sits there.

Is there a good way to tell if my springs are bad? They are pretty much straight across. Medic I will be in touch when i decide what way to go

Straight across (unloaded truck) means they are probably shot. However, the good news is that they can be re-arched at a spring shop.

...Or a previous owner had them re arched to drop the rear. Mine are pretty straight at ride height after having them re arched for about a 2.5" drop.

True, never considered DE-arching original springs. I could drop my front some more with springs but the oil pan would hit the rack and pinion on a good bump, and that's with my axle moved forward 1.5".

Questions for Sully, how well do your shocks work at that angle? Mine are like that and it seems I've got a lot of bounce.

They're *OK.* They would work better at less of an angle, but they're acceptable. I might actually extend the rearend shock bracket at some point using an angle that keeps the shock length the same but takes out 20* or so of angle. Right now, she's driving it as her daily and I don't want to have it down to do the welding and repainting on the rearend. SO as long as she's not complaining about the ride . . .
