Slick 60's

Has anyone read or watched any videos or books on how to fiberglass that they felt was worth a persons time and money? Any help would be great. Trying to find someone who knows how to work with fiberglass in a small town is a hard one. thank you

hey there clearcreekcustom66 finally a neighbor to me lol, what kind of fiberglass work are you looking to do? A repair is easy to figure out if your going to just patch up a panel, if your trying to make something out of it thats alot more work, I can walk you through a patch repair with "angel hair" if thats what you need to do

I did glas work from the time I was 8 years old til i was about 18 in the family business. I HATE it.

it is however not very complicated. I dont know of any videos or books, but like shawn, i can guide you through some of it.

fiberglass is basically kinda like puttin mud on, well maybe, to me it is to others it may not be, you mix the resin the same way and use a brush instead of a paddle, what you wantin to glass up anyway?

Hey guys. Go to West Marine's website. They have a great tutorial for fiberglass work and the West System Epoxy is a great product. I have my own little job brewing that I'll let you know about if it works out.

I have a set of the GlassMan dvd's, they walk you through everything... it's a 9 dvd's covering everything including gauge pods, sub boxes, kick panels, rear deck... the list goes on and on...

First of all thank you all for your replies and offers to help me out i really appreciate it. Shawn you maybe a greenie but ill still be more than happy to take your help. Up here in wyoming we can tell when its spring because the license plates turn green. Maybe someone out there will get that one. What i am thinking about doing is a big on taking for my project i want to do a tonnue cover with curly maple ribs and frame. i was thinking about making it out steel or aluminum something i am really familiar with but wanted it to be light and unique. you guys have any ideas of how to accomplish this. i was thinking bout build the frame and stretching the cloth over but how could i make it smooth and level? let me know if you guys think.
