Tee shirts

Post by Uncle Skip »

Lance, its time to fish or cut bait.
You need to either reproduce your original first tee shirt dot art or step up with a cool new design.
The hoi poli s clamoring for a new shirt (and so am I).
If you don't want the aggravation, send me the original art work and I'll get it done.
But please, do a '62 grill this time.
Nobody loves 64 grills. 8)
Love and kisses;

Skip. I met with a printer last week and showed them all the shirts we have ever done. They can do them for us , all we need to do is send them the artwork. We need to order at least 35 to get a good deal on them. I was thinking on doing the ghost Uni shirt first but if people want to orig shirt first I can get thet done also........Kid

Kid, I am willing to buy some shirts. how about a post with the artwork and a poll to see who wants what?
how much are we talking per shirt for a "Good deal"?
Knowing in advance how many want which shirt could stop this from stalling, you have too much to worry about already.

I have talked to 2 printers so far and it is a real savings to us if we buy a minimum of 32 shirts. We can do one of the orig logo shirts Lance did a long time ago and we are wanting to do one of the Ghost Uni, it was dark grey print on a black shirt. I also want to do a club shirt with the logo we put on the top of the page here. I am waiting on quotes from the second printer and I can post some pics of the shirts we have that we want to redo. I have one of the ghost Uni shirt and one of the orig design we did....................Kid

in the perfect world there would always be a quantity of shirts so you could buy one of any of the designs anytime.
unfortunately i as many of the rest of you cannot afford the investment or do not own the machine to make the shirts.
my original design shirt is very old could use a replacement
have to have a ghost shirt and a new design too.
Terry also will want some. theres 6 shirts right there.

I would be fine with a preorder, send you the money and wait for the shirts to be made. That way you are not fronting as much cash for a project your doing all the ground work for.

Also, maybe have a Slick 60's store on this website to promote the shirts and any extras you would have. People passing through might buy something if there was a eye catching store logo rather than flipping through posts. If it wouldnt be too much trouble you could also have stickers and such with the logo, maybe even a pint glass??

The store idea is a good one, but would require a good bit of cash up front for inventory and then someone would have to facilitate it (fill the orders, collect the money etc.)
Edit: I'm OK with a pre-order also.

I'm fine with a pre-order and now that I have lost 80 lb's, I now fit into that 2xl category!! :woohoo: I don't mind grey, prefer black, but white?? no way... I work to hard for a white shirt.. 8) it would be ruined in a week... I have a big stain on the front of the last one.. :( count me in for 2 or 3

Since I was member #13, I have every tee we ever did and my experience is that grey is the best all round color. Black a close second. My only exception is that when Lance made the '64 dot matrix run, I paid him extra for a white golf shirt with a collar printed front and back. Still one of my favorite shirts and its held up very well thru the years. Getting a little tight, but still looks good.
Kid, I have an idea that I'll PM you with. Let me know what you think.

Brian, Like I said it was sweet when Lance worked at the print shop. All him and I had to do was buy what we wanted printed and he did the artwork and printed them on his time

Some of us Old Timers need a pocket hold our glasses, ink pen, business cards, etc. Any chance of getting some with pockets?
