Saweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet! I kin hardly wait to see the whole truck, booted!

Try Mar K or LMC for a roll pan BTW

I always wanted to see the Slick version of this sweet '56
Image
looks like I might get to now

Those are 20's on the back and 17's up front on that car BTW
Note the similarities in rear wheelwells. You need to drop yours(axle flip) to get the stance right for those big wheels tho, IMO

I was going to drop it 3/2. I don't want to go any further than bolt on goodies. If I do go with 20s in the back I am going to have to get the perfect size tire for sure. The 285/50R20 is just too tall.

My head is hurting trying to make up my mind. The front is easy once I make a decision on the back.

This would look even better if the front was dropped 3 inches IMO

Played with it some more. Less tire and a 2 inch drop simulated

or a 4 inch drop

20s for sure on the rear and 18s up front. Will order them Monday

Nice! I'm a sucker for a shortbed and black fords are my favorite...

What size on the tires?

The tires in the last 2 pics are 275/35R20, a bit on the short side. I will probably go with a 275/45R20.

nice

Looks great.

I would love to see a picture when you have the rims and tires mounted all the way around.

Have fun with the new slick.

Mr. D will do. Right now I have the truck at a friends shop doing some motor work.

Tim one thing to Keep in mind. The lower the series number you go the less sidewall you have. The shorter the side wall the stiffer or rougher  the ride will be. Personally Iwould stick to atleast a 45 series tire. Plus I like the look of taller sidewalls 8) . Just old I guess

and be sure to check the status of your brakes! I would hate to see something happen to that truck, its very sweet.

Cant wait to see it with those wheels you ordered mounted

Believe it or not I am no Spring chicken. I am actually a year older than the truck. But the more I watch American Hot Rod and Overhaulin, the more I can deal with the lo pro tires. I want to go with a 225/55R18 on the front and 275/45R20 on the rear. The pain is finding tire in 18s and 20s that are the same brand and model.

Affirmative, already have a set of front disc off a 78 F150.

You think you can't wait, 3 more weeks. I am going nuts here. Why can't my stuff get done in a week like on Overhaulin.

I'm still older than you  . I have no problems with larger wheels & tires 55/45 will give you some ride quality I'm talking about25/35s AKA the rubber band look and ride  . Besides the bigger the wheel more room for bigger brakes 8) . RE my pics in album :!:

I am not into the rubber band look either. I have been looking at what all is available, kinda like the looks of the BFG G Force tires in 235/50R18 & 295/40R20
