Fairy Tale

Post by Gritsngumbo »

What's the difference between a Northern fairy tale and a Southern Fairy Tale?

A Northern fairy tale begins: "Once upon a time..."

A Southern fairy tale begins: "Ya'll ain't going to believe this shit..."

Alan, I realize you don't have an accent, but is there a difference in how folks in North and South Australia say things (or East/West if more appropriate)?

No Accent ?
One thing I have noticed, is when I'm around other people
I start picking up their lingo......
After about 5 days hanging with Texans , Australians , and Canadians
I come back home and say things like
" how y'all doing , Mate , eh ? "
.

I`d have to say yes, but the difference is hard to pick sometimes, take the cockies and the bushies, they speak real slow and drawl it out abit, cause they have all day to say something, but in the smoke or the west/outer suburbs, we have to get it done and talk faster. At SS5 Lyn told me to slow my speach down abit so the others had a chance to understand me!...
