Spark , were you still interested in driving over here and racing sometime this winter? I am warning you, once you drive on MDF.. you will be big time addicted.

Sounds good Lance. Never raced on MDF.

Alan, I still have all my HO Aurora Model Motoring sets from the early 60's, some Carrera stuff from the early 80's and an old Tyco set from the 70's. It's been an addiction for 50+ years! Why do you think Dianne wanted to add onto the garage and have a hobby room out there?!?!?

Found this one locally. Guy bought it, got home and it was too big for the area he had so he got another for his son. Getting it for less than half this price and it's never been opened.

I didn't ask why he didn't just leave a few pieces of track in the box and set up what he could use. I got it for half price and it's still sealed in the original box, cars still packed, nothing opened. If he's not smart enough to make it fit the room available, I'll buy it and save him the trouble. Got it this afternoon so it goes up tomorrow in the garage addition!

Hey Lance, can a 1:24th scale be driven on your track?

It can. in fact I routed it wide enough fro bigger old school cars.. however 2 or 3 bigger cars pull the power way down, you can't run many with good results...

Alan I don't have the setup for the wireless, Besides I was always bad at pointing those at the floor while I drive.. My friend has a set of them.. sometimes your car just goes on its own with his if you don't hold it pointing somewhat at the tower...

OK mine doesn`t have the tower, there`s a receiver that plugs in at the control box and you bind to that, I do have a controller with wire but I may hold off getting an extra one until we are over there, although your stuff as far as Carrera goes isn`t that much cheaper!, go figure!.

so your sockets must be Carrera !..........

You may have an upgraded wireless set.. either way I have an older control unit that will not see the wireless system. I am not sure what you mean't about the sockets being Carrera? but we have found you can use standard phone wire extensions work, if you modify the locking plug. Its niceto just cut them and solder in the wire.. but its not necessary.

you mean Cat 5 or 6 ?

Are you talking about adding the plug ins for car 5 and 6? There is an expander box for my set, it plugs into one of the controller positions, and adds three more spots..
