Slick 60's

Theres a All Ford show in Warwick Md, which is pretty much Middletown DE. Real close to Wayne K's house. I'm planning on going with a couple of other ford guys, 1 65' and a couple of cars. Wayne called me yesterday and I told him he needs to bring the $500 '66 to the show because it will make my truck look better.

I think he has brake issues, like none. But he can handle it, now he has incentive. Now if we could pry some of those York guys out of PA we'd have a gtg.

The no-brakes was on the green 302 truck. The lines rusted out. I think the '66 is functional.

I've resurfaced for a moment. My ears were burning.

This show is really close. No brakes on 66 due to leaking wheel cylinder. Easy fix! I talked to Farmer Bill so he may be there as well. That's a bunch of slicks so far.

I am really getting stoked for this, you'll really like Jimmy's truck he did for his Wife, Real nice. Just got the electricity ran to the garage, welder is ready to go in it's corner. I guess I'd better start looking for a Mustang huh, oh wait I already hit 50.

OK, I'm not bringing the Merc.....I'm bringing the UNI ! It's a trailer queen but you guys will love it !...do you think we can park them together like a real club ? The last time I got together with you guys was @ Wayne's house.....that was years ago.....I'm looking forward to this..I'll be pulling a 24foot race car trailer...so any help with where to go or park would be appreciated...do you have a truck count ?........Dave

Don't know why we couldn't, count wise, again don't know. From trying to organize a gtg before and knowing how people bail out at the last minute, I can count on 1 truck being there, mine. I know things happen, just speaking for myself, this has potential to be a real good time.

It will be totally weather dependent for me. Not driving 2hrs if it's likely to be an ugly day. That's about the only deterrent though.

I just checked the weather...looks good, so I'm going. Meeting at Wayne's before the show opens. So for sure it's Charlie, Wayne and myself.

Charlie, After all the anticipation of going to Middletown tomorrow, I can't go. A fella that I've known for 40 yrs. and has been an exceptional draftsman and employee of ours lost his battle w/lung cancer. He died on the 22nd and I did not realize that his "Life Celabration" is on Saturday. I sometimes have trouble doing the right thing, I was tempted to load the truck and go, but now I think I better not. I'm disappointed, this was a good opportunity to see you guys and show off my Uni. Please keep me posted of any other shows / get togethers that you guys are involved with....hope you guys have a good time...post some pictures....Dave

As long as the truck makes it I'll be there.
