That is a great looking truck but I don't really like the rims on it. There are very, very few rims that look good on these trucks. Personally, I prefer stock innies with hub caps.

Well we certainly don't do this to make money!
Not that I will ever achieve that level of craftmanship, but it saddens me to see it go for so little when a VW micro van can go fo 120,000.

As the announcer dudes on Barrett-Jackson would say: "Well-bought".
If you understand what you’re doing, you’re not learning anything.

Interesting that they put so much time & effort into making everything else look perfect then hung that big obnoxious AC under the dash!!

Re: 65 @ Mecum on Thursday in Dallas
I agree with thenephilm stock wheels and bottle caps are the only way to go, but the truck is beautiful.
Re: 65 @ Mecum on Thursday in Dallas

Probably because it's a 65 grill (as it should be) NOT a 64.cwindsor wrote:LOl no one caught the 64 grill... yet...

Not to start a fight but that is a 64 grill...
This is a 65 and 66 grill...

This is a 64 grill...

Maybe I am wrong... but I see a different grill than that on 65's

Re: 65 @ Mecum on Thursday in Dallas
'65 in fact has the grille shown on the truck in question. Your top pic is a '66, the bottom IS a '64.
Now, what was the statement again? You might note that neither the '66 you show, nor the '65 on the truck in question, have turn signals mounted in the grille, in addition to other differences in design.
Of course, then you have people like myself and notable others, who just don't like the high-mounted turn signals, but DO like the '65 (only) grilles
Somewhere, somebody, maybe Ruth, has recently reposted a "Slick grille spotter's guide"; showing all six variants.

That is a 66 grille , 65's had their own, (and the best looking IMHO)

Re: 65 @ Mecum on Thursday in Dallas
'66 is the only repopped grille TMK; thus it is not unusual to see '65's with the '66 grille.
