What are the best option for speaker locations other than door panels?
What are some good speakers?
I have a pair of undercover II speakers under the seat.
Sound quality is bad.
Are there speakers that can be mounted in cab corners?
A good speaker that fits in the original dash location?

Previous owner of blue slick had put speakers into the air vent location in the kick panels. (No Heaters in RHD models, real men don't need heaters  ) I waterproofed them by putting a plastic shield over the cone and they worked surprisingly well eventually carpeted the kick panels too but no pics. Also anyone OUTSIDE the slick got to hear as well as it echoed out the top of the cowl vent!

Would only work if you didn't have a heater/airvent of course.

I have seen them integrated to the hood lining in the back of the cab somewhere, I'm sure it was this site.

I built pods out of fiberglass and ported them thru the kick panel into the cowl using a 2.5" port. I'm using time correction via D.S.P. you can't tell where they are, you can't tell they're in the kicks. And yes you can hear them thru the cowl vent, kinda muffled though... I picked this area over the doors because less chance of rattles and other anoying noises.

Yes it is Paul, made out of 5/8" MDF and covered with carbon fiber wrap.
Thanks,

I put boat speakers in mine since they were white and I wanted them to match the headliner...

with them right behind my head, I don't have to turn it up loud nor do I have the need for an amp... this works good for me..

Anthony, what did you use for your headliner material? I can't see the stock cardboard supporting itself, let alone speakers

It's on the third (?) page of his build (at least the way I have my phone set up - LOL) Just click the link in his signature.

Ok, I found it...I didn't think the stock one was strong enough for that.
Thanks for pointing that out Rusty, I'm blind sometimes...
I've been trying to figure out a headliner alternative since mine as the standard HUGE hole in it and I really don't like the idea of the stock material. I was looking at frp, but this looks like a better option for my needs....besides I hate working with plastics.
