Welcome from New Mexico. I was on the fence about these trucks when I first got one, but the Slick60s crew was what kept me with it. I have never seen anything like it anywhere else.
For every person with a spark of genius, there are a hundred with ignition trouble

Stuff I added to Hints and tricks

-turn signal indicator fix
Mikhail Kalashnikov and Nikola Tesla are the guys i think of when i build things.

Welcome from south Jersey (really from Oregon).
Where'd you find the truck? Some old guys yard? Craigslist? Friend of a friend etc?
Is it starting yet? I see no battery in your engine shot. The front driver fender got bashed in too it appears.
Anyway- welcome! I am curious how you will come along on your project. Mine took a two year hold but looks to be making a comeback soon. Keep us updated.

Welcome from California!
I do not know how I missed this the first go around, but I am glad I found it. It is nice to have youngsters interested in our style of trucks who will have the energy to work on them. hopefully you will have the passion and determination to stick to it.
If you need help, parts or direction, you can always ask here, a nicer bunch of folks would be hard to find. You also have a great bunch of folks close to you right there in Texas who will be a great help as well.

Pulled the motor and trans. Painted the trans this to keep from rusting. More likely will be black!
Re: 164 F100 Styleside. 1st restoration.
What exactly are your plans for this truck? I am also 17 with a 64 stepside with amazing patina! If you any questions you can find me on HAMB @ 61f100 or I will try my best to keep track of this thread. Us YOUNG GUNS RULE! So glad i am not the only 17 year old with some style in this country! Good luck from Gainesville Texas!
