New Project? Non-rusty '65?

Post by Rusty 63 »

Hey guys - looking at this truck & want to ask for a value check. What would you think a fair price to pay for this would be?

It's 3-1/2 hrs each way, so if I drive for a look, I'll want to drive it home...

Appreciate all your opinions before I get my "begging pants" on... LOL

I would stay away, the wheels are awful. The overspray on everything in the engine bay tells me that they didn't take much time in the paint job, meaning that they probably didn't take much care with everything else. Paint bubbling and minor rust means some real good rust. That truck isn't worth half of what he is asking.

The rims make me vomit & the overspray is disconcerting but I didn't spot the bubbling paint - where's that?

I'd say $4,000 (if he kept the crappy rims) and depending on how it drives.

Always be leery of recent poorly done paint and bedliner. Big gaudy wheels on an old vehicle with a recent quicky paint job is generally an attempt to draw in "under-informed" buyers.

Rusty63, If engine is rebuild and no cab work under truck, you can redo the engine bay. AZ truck should be real nice underside metal. I go see it , i offer 3000 for it. Truck will not sell for 7000. I sold my 66f-100 ranger for 2500 but needed work on cab bottom and engine not rebuild. Good luck,Tony 8) you can change the wheels to your looks. :2cents:

Nice truck. Could do without the big wheels and big price.
