fi 302/aod conversion

Post by bigcee »

Can't find any threads on putting a fuel injected 302 in a 65/66 f100. Has anyone done this before? I've seen a bunch of 4.6 conversions but my donor is a 91 towncar. Can anyone point me in a direction with some info?

The harness for the FI is the tricky part. This is no different that for any car. If you don't get any responses here, check the web in general.

I have a 302 and AOD in my 65, no EFI, yet. You can use engine stands from a 70's truck with a 302. My AOD worked with the C6 cross member and a transmission mount with slotted bolt holes, I also needed a new drive shaft. I had to change the shifter arm on my transmission to make it work with the auto column in my truck. I don't think you will have to change the shifter arm on your transmission because it is out of a column shift car, where mine came from a floor shift Mustang.

Some good info on Ford factory EFI here:http://oldfuelinjection.packrad.net/
SBC is a defunct phone company, not an engine option.
