Re: 1964 Shortbed "Rust-O-Mod" Build
Thanks! I'm pretty happy with the way they look, but I'm REALLY HAPPY with the way they work. I'm pretty low up front. It's just an extra 2.5" but I can now drive without rubbing the tires. When I'm MAX cranking the steering wheel - no problem, when I'm trying to park in a tight situation - no problem. Normal driving - no problem! You just have to have the right wheel off-set and the right size tire! Super easy modification for the Crown Vic front ends!bruceandersson wrote:x2 on the fenders! Great work.

Just finished putting color on "Betty" (My wife nicknamed her "Betty Ford" cuz I need to go for rehab ) I still need to clear coat but she's getting closer. Visited an old rusty abandoned auto repair site today that matches her amazing patina and took a few pics!!!SteveCanup wrote:Watching....awesome build.

Thanks 390 Fastback, I'm pretty happy with the results! I think come summer I might add an inch to the rear fenders to even out the appearance front to back.390fastback wrote:I was skeptical about how those fenders would look, but man....those look great!

That Looks Great, I Like The Exaggerated Fender Lines.. I Wouldn't Mess With The Back Though, It Looks Fine As Is. Nice Work! Where You At In SoCal Sandy?.....

I live up in the Antelope Valley, about an hour north of L.A.
Why? Is it the "Surfcanada" user name? (I'm a transplant from Toronto, Canada many moons ago, now a school teacher in SoCal who can't get enough of the beach!)
Looked up your truck - Nice!
Cheers, Sandy

If you ever want to come back to SoCal, my wife's old boss is the owner of the "Ice Dogs" / "The Reign". (She was his personal assistant for 15+ years) Maybe we could hook you up with a job back here by the surf and I'll pull out my longboard & we'll go catch some waves!
Cheers,
Sandy

Fenders look like they were made for it. Louvers on the hood is really old school cool.
