I use Fios and I upgraded with a new router and I have coaxial cable between where the service enters my house and my cp, about 40'. Would my stuff work faster if I changed the coax to cat 5 Ethernet. I checked and there are places to plug it in on both ends and it's not to hard to install the new cable. Just wondering. Thanks , Tom

I doubt it. If it is like mine, it comes into the house on coax. How fast is it running on a speed test?

Probably not, but it doesn't hurt to try. The problem with most home delivered internet is that the companies over-subscribe the areas they serve. When working from home, I could always tell when the area kids got home form school by the drop in speed.

Dan, Download speed 57.8 upload 51.2 . Service enters the house with fiber optic I think . Verizon ran new wires from the street and did't use the cable that was there. Thanks for the replys. Tom
