Another seller who doesn't know what the word "restoration" means.
If you understand what you’re doing, you’re not learning anything.

$156,000 invested with receipts.
Hmm, not much of an investment?

I agree the term investment does not apply. I can see(not really, but at least understand a little) someone putting $156K into restoring a vehicle that has a six or seven figure value, but a pickup? I think the shows and auctions are skewing people perception. I love watching these shows where they have 5 guys working on a vehicle for weeks and somehow survive with a minimal profit line. I suspect these shops make more money on their TV revenue than from there actual work efforts. My only real complaint is that its raising the prices on everything. I've been scanning ads for years. The last couple of years a decent builder slick has probably tripled.

Mopar strobe stripe which I like but they belong on a Mopar. Chev tranny so assume Chev powered color is very ah ugly. 156k invested? His money would have been better spent on a Hemi Road Runner. Should have took the 55k cause he'll probably never see that again.

Just cause you put in enough to buy a house doesn't mean it's worth that much!

My word, I don't even want to get started on the TV Auctions, and restoration programs. It kind of brings back old memories. I remember my daddy telling me more than once, "don't ever believe anything you see in a picture". That also goes for movie pictures.
I've had several customers over the years with the mentality while building a truck of thinking, "well I wanted that $2000.00 set of wheels, but in person, this $6000.00 set looks way better. What-to-do, what-to-do? What the HECK, if I ever sell it, I'll just ask $4000.00 more for it....." Sorry to say, it doesn't work like that.
Like April said about the figures that some people put into a truck or car, "that's a house"
In MY lit'l biddy world, I built my house 36 years ago for $58,800.00, so in my little pea brain, even that TO ME is a house.
I couldn't bring myself ever again to build anything other than a (maybe not perfect) but very presentable driver...to my liking and be happy with that. Of course I'm NOT condoning anyone else out there who can afford to and does. Ha, ha, If I told ALL my customers that, I'd be out of business.
