Dash headlight "Lamp" illuminates randomly

Let's start this from the first.
My headlights will randomly go on and off when in using them. Resetting the switch works sometime but no telling for how long. Sometimes they dont even go off while driving at night. I've checked connections and grounding. All good. Obviously thinking there switch. But here's the real kicker. While driving during the day my dash hi beam bulb will come on and off randomly to. But no lights are even turned on. Is that bulb supposed to indicate something else to?? It works when life are on and I use the dimmer switch.

then this

should get you going in the (b)right direction

as to the briight indicator in the dash, thats an odd one i have never heard from but i suspect a grounding issue somewhere

try tightening the nut on the accessory post just in case the feed wire is attached there, it would explain the dash lights not sureb about the headlights

I had similar trouble with S10. Turned out that new switch was bad. Bought Ebay NOS switch and no more problems GM runs all kinds of lights through switch and column what a mess. Check switch first. Good luck.
