I have looked and looked for images of where the ground goes to the cab on a 66 f100 2wd had a 240. the p.o. never had one on it when I got it. I have read that it goes from the drivers side head to the cab near the throttle cable bracket. I can't find any pictures. I just like having things in their proper location. Anyone have a good picture? Thanks!

The only one I've ever seen that I KNOW was on an original un-molested truck, bolted to the top bolt of the bracket that the throttle cable comes through.
98% positive, but it's your truck. You may want to do a more thorough search.

Here is a link to an article in Hemmings Motor News that shows a 65 f250 with a straight six.

There are several photos. I have a 65 that had a 300 six but my firewall does not have the extra hole for the ground strap beside the accelerator cable as shown in the picture from HMN. I'm swapping back to a 300 now from a V8, so I'm interested too in knowing the right location.
I can't see they photos Mr. Jones posted above?

Finally got out to the shop to work on the 66. The straight six location on a 1966 f100 is on the bottom bolt of the throttle bracket. Thanks again Guys for the replies!

My 63 in-line 6 223 had it here.
Took photo 2.5 years ago before I took it all apart. It was fairly stock, but who knows.
