I just made another trip around the sun. Decided to retire from CG next April, and I am closing on my house the 20th.

Yesterday something in my 250's steering column broke,wouldn't go into any gear.Shifter arm was free spinning,sitting on a slight incline with no E-brake....sat there awhile holding the brake till a guy chocked the wheel.....called a tow truck...went across the street and had a couple beers......and now it's sitting at home waiting for a repair.......that will be a whole nother story.After it warms up,till then I'll be styling around town in the F-350GT...(GT---Garbage Truck)

Dan , as you know the f350 has a E-brake on the rear of the transmission
Like the bigger trucks
I put one on a f250 once .. I like em way better than the foot pedal type

Pat saw Ken yesterday @ Charlotte Auto Fair, caught up on some news, then had to pack up a day early since bad weather coming up in which it did,, BUT On the way back 2 miles from the house on our F-450 we where pulling our trailer went to hit the brakes lost all steering and brakes and had to pull down on the brake controller only way to stop,, seems on the 97 7.3 the power steering works steering and brakes and the hose broke at the pump so all was lost just glad it did it here and not having to have it in a emergency panic stop

I was driving the grn/why 250....and it's a C-6

Are you saying you lost them totally ?
Or just super hard to turn steering ?
That be a puckered up moment !!

steering was no problem little hard , but no brakes pulling a loaded trailer, now this a whole new thing at least it was at 11.00 pm so no traffic had to deal with

I'm almost done with the cab of my 66. I've got 1 more small patches to put in. I've replaced both floor pans both front cab mounts both cab corners (backside and outside) and replaced the roof. Only have two doors, two front fenders and hood to go. Heck I'm almost done, good thing my bed is in good shape. It only needs a couple small pieces replaced. I don't know how some of you do it when you start out with way worse trucks than I did. Tag, your it!

I splurged and went to a Mexican restaurant last night for dinner with friends. Bad life choice!

I’ve packed everything up that is not immediately needed from the upstairs rooms of the house. Moved it all down to the second living room awaiting my move in day in 12 days.

I hate moving.

The garage is going to suck real bad to move. Thankfully it’s only three miles away.

That's good that you don't have to get far. Moving is at the bottom of the list of things I ever want to do, but despite that I have managed to move about once every year for the last 6 years. And 2 of those moves were 850 miles

I finally bit the bullet and ordered an argon tank and the weather is getting nicer. Might actually have some truck updates soon.
My supervisor got promoted. Hopefully I'll move into his spot. Might be able to really get the ball rolling on my truck if that happens...

Well we had the hottest April day on record yesterday 10/04/2018 ( 10th April ) 35 Deg C middle of Autumn
still in T-shirt,shorts and thongs. might have to leave the jumpers packed away this year !

I know that a jumper is equivalent to a sweater, and I'm pretty sure thongs in this context are equivalent to sandals, specifically flip-flops, but that's really none of my business.

Been Kinda busy moving. Sold a house moved to condo...that garage is packed... had a 20'x50' shop built to put excess stuff and slick stuff in while the place in Paradise gets 1500' torn down and rebuilt...sure am tired of boxes, ATT screwed me for about 4 weeks and builder will not be able to start until mid august...Other than that all is well with the world

Possibly getting our house sold !
Been on the market since last summer
I hope it goes thru !

Getting some bids to frame up a new one
Then I can work on it next winter...
Wiring , plumbing , framing up interior walls
Want to downsize to a smaller home
