2 Questions about 66 352 manifold

Post by tomrooster »

If I take off the sheet metal cover for cleaning under the manifold will I be able to replace it and the little pipe that comes out the front is rusted out , can it be replaced and who sells it or can I just put a piece of 1/2" copper in place of it? Thanks Tom

Are you referring to the water passage on the front of manifold? Mine was rusted out also,I bought a tap and threaded the hole for a threaded pipe.... will need to check the size and let you know what was used.....

3/8-18NPT copper and steel should never be in contact with each other, not sure if the threaded fitting came from an auto parts store or Home Depot

That is an excelent guide. His identification guide is off, my understating that is due to the information he had at the time. Very well laid out procedure and torque specs. My original copy is about 25 years old.
