63 Cab Mount Front Frame

Post by ThinLizzy13 »

Does anyone have approximate dimensions of this piece? My driver's side one is toast and the passenger side one is a homemade job. Rather than spend $200 a pop on pieces of potentially dubious quality, I'd like to try to fab some up.

I have seen several companies selling them,, Some do not recommend especially LMC, PURE JUNK !!, Others on E-bay JUNK As Well made well too thin, another one making them BUT the True MFG. has to now put his name engraved since somebody copied his and are not right, NOW one thing to remember is that Drivers side is little longer than what is repo only due to cost way up there if that Drivers side was right length, but will still work since the Mfg. has been doing it for now I say 25 years now and when I was there I welded/grind them to be shipped out 20 years ago, Quality never changed with them and also remember there is a RH and LH Side as well

I bought a set from Carolina classics. Turned out real nice.
Way better than if I tried to make them,
The months may change, but I am always APRIL

Thanks for the tip April. I checked them out, they look really nice! For $200 for the set I might just go that route.

Tom - cheaply made junk is exactly what I want to avoid. I have a pile of old american steel which I'll be using for rust repairs. What company is the true mfg that you're referencing?

Carolina Classics is the Mfg as well we do but like I said in past we are not here to promote us, only to pass info and no from 1st hand they are good thickness , especially since I worked there 25 years ago did the welding on them putting them together + grinding the welds down to be shipped and nothing has changed on them except he puts his name on them since some body copied them and made NOT Right
