Master cylinder pushrod length

Post by Zax63 »

I have a stock single pot master cylinder on my '63 and i'm pretty sure my pushrod is too long. Even if I adjust the pushrod eccentric all the way out I still have to compress the piston about an half an inch to bolt it up. The one that came with the truck is 5 3/4 overall length, or 5 5/16 from the end that goes in the master cylinder to the midpoint to the eccentric bolt hole. I don't mind cutting it down but would like to have an idea of what should be in there. If anyone has one laying around they could measure I would appreciate it.
