passenger side arm rest

Post by redstone65 »

I'd like to put an arm rest on the passenger side door, but it's a base model and didn't have one originally. Has anyone done this? Looking for advice.

I looked at the drivers door on my parts truck. the holes are drilled in the second groove down which is the groove in line with the inside handle holes. the rearmost hole is 1 and a quarter inch from the start of the groove.you will need the long metal screws that goes with the armrest and you can use the arm rest as a pattern to drill the other hole.the armrests i got with truck were not in good shape but looked like were ford original. I puttied in the holes on the passenger side door and put it on my my truck so i could not measure it .hope this helps
