How much do I need to shorted the steering column to convert to PS

71 and up Manual Steering 36 1/8''

04/12/2021 Wanted to add this,, if going use the 71 and up need to cut some off the top of the shaft where there is a snub where a puller would go ++ couple of threads so your horn ring will work on the 65/70 trucks

hey Tom, I have a 77 column in my 66. if I cut the nub off the end will a 66 steering wheel fit?
also, I have a wheel off of a 74 Econoline camper.. yea, don't ask.. lol and a wheel and horn ring off a 60 F100 will either of these fit my 77 column with little modification? sorry to hi-jack your post Kid
