speedomter cable
I put in a 63 fordomatic transmission in my 63 F100, it had a 3 on the tree I used the original cable but it is reading about 15 mph slower. I was wondering what tooth gear I need to get for it read correctly, any help much appreciated

use the gear from the 3 speed, gears match rear end not trans

I used the speedometer drive gear from the 3 speed, it reads 15 mph slower bat 40 mph

If it was reading wrong before and seems to operate normally it probably had the 4.56 axle originally. Do you know the current axle ratio?
