following are pics of the heaters and heater cores used in the 61-64
65/66 and 67-72 trucks
this is the 61-64 heater
both standard and magic-aire use the same core

this is the 61-64 core

note the flange that mounts the core to the heater

this is the 65/66 heater
again both standard and magic-aire use the same core

65/66 core

the 61/64 and 65/66 cores are the same dimension but the bottom side is different and the 65/66 has no flange

this is a larger version of the 65/66 core

notice the comparison

regardless of the box info it does not fit the 65/66.it may fit in some of the 71-72 heaters which i think is what i bought it for

this is a 67-72 type heater. it uses the same core as 65/66

here is a comparison of ford truck heater cores,

L-R
9042 large core
65/66 core
2nd generation econoline high output van heater 68-74?
not sure about the one on the right.it is either a 73/79 or one from a factory air conditioned 67-72
if you know speak up!
