No worries here, mate

Apparently GM has stopped making vehicles in Canada. No GM vehicles made in Canada= no GM vehicles in my driveway.
It's a race.. Will hell freeze over or will JC finish his truck first. Stay tuned..

My Mom has a LeSabre. The only coolant issue she's had involved a little plastic elbow that cracked & started leaking. I hope that's the only problem. *knock-on-wood*
It seems the idea of using their own 'special' coolant backfired on them.

Unfortunately, I have to admit I have a 99 Montana. I know that may lower your opinion of me... cry.gif
Anyways, I realized when I went to check the oil and found 3 liters more than what I had put in! Well at first I thought I had struck it rich! :woohoo: Imagine, a vehicle that produces oil instead of burning it!!! As the crankcase was now over full, I drained the excess and put it in a clear jug for later. So with this new found independance from "Big Oil", I was about to compose a "SCREW YOU" letter to them, but when I checked it after sitting for a week (the jug sitting...) I noticed a sepearation and the fluid on the bottom was clearer than the rest. grrsign.gif Talked to the local dealership, parts alone ran @ $250.00. The service dept said "could be the intake gaskets but sounds like it could also be a cylinder issue. Either way it's BIG bucks to fix!" Can't be a cylinder issue because it's not burning the coolant. I have no white "smoke" or excess condensation coming out the tail pipe. This is the Number one repair on these vehicles. It is reported that on average 2-3 of these vehicles every week are having this repair done!
Funny thing is GM has known about this for the last 4 years min. They refuse to accept the fault on this. It is estimated that this fault alone will cost them @ $1,000,000,000.00!!! :barf:

Oh well, I hope this goes through cause the van's too big too use as a paperweight!!
