Houston Raceway Park Friday Night

Post by dwbr »

Going to be taking my slick down to Houston Raceway Park in Baytown Friday night to get a few passes in, , its safe street night, 20 bucks will get you unlimited runs all night, I dont plan on dogging it too hard yet, suppose to be a decent night. maybe a few slicks from the area can make it out

nice.... what engine are you running???

I've never raced Aggie, but I dont imagine she would do that well.... With a stock Stall rpm torque converter, and especially with the 2.73 gears in her right now. the 3.89 gears I got might surprise me. Or the fact that they are still an open gearset may totally disappoint anyway!
'63 with 390 & lots of juice. But never enough. Always want more.

its a 514 stroker, with 4.11 posi rear, this was my first time at the track with the rebuild, a little tuning and if i can get the back to hook up, i dont see any problems getting to the upper 12's , great thing about it, its still street legal, took it for a sunday drive this weekend

Pretty good run. I got a '66 F100 with a 418 FE . I live up in the Austin area. And i made some test runs in Seguin. Had a new Carb, and new Ignition. was having some issues hooking up. Here is one of the quicker runs. it was 13.13 @ 100mph. I have to big a stall in the truck right now.
This truck has been in the 12's before!..
