Ditto that, very cool Slick on Pinks. I wish I would have known that they were doing that here in Texas, I would have been there watching. I loved the format. A lot less drama, just line up and run em, all out, heads up. None of the drawn out negotiation.

A very gear head oriented format. I am going to send an email off this morning to Pinks, let em know I liked it. Maybe they will get enough response to do more like that. A lot of work for them but worth it for me.

Note: For my taste the winning Slick had the distributor on the wrong end of the motor.

No doubt, a 10 second Slick with a nice blond girl at the wheel. Real high up on the cool meter. Only thing cooler if it would have been mine.

I wish they would have done a rundown on the mechanical specifics of each vehicle. It was a pretty good show nonetheless. Especially since we get to see exactly how fast the cars were. According to the Speed website, they're doing another episode with 9-second cars.

I was a bit shocked to see that Slick in there. All-steel, no less! Shame about the distributor location (imo), but still impressive.

Came onto the forum today to ask if anyone else had seen the show and knew what was under the hood... glad some other folk saw that.

A friend called to tell me about it... thought it was so cool to see another chick driving the same year truck as mine, and she kicked everyone's ass to boot! Goodstuff 8) Fast little truck... and PRETTY.

I was disapointed to see where the dist. was myself but it was a slick that really looked good going down the track. I also like to see a girl kick butt as long as it's not mine. lol
there was two girls that made it to the final 4, both where good drivers,

Here is a 10 second Y block for ya. Pretty sure the Slick was not a Y block, looked like a BBC to me. http://www.hotrod.com/featuredvehicles/19158_1956_ford_thunderbird/

I would like to see the one on pinks go up against this BBF powered Slick.

Here is another shot of it.

Bad slick. Looked like some where between a 7 and 8 sec to me. Could be wrong though. I got whiplash just watching.

Boy was i wrong. I was counting sec. in my head guess my brain is a little slow. i went to his photo albm and the race with the firebird was titled 5.75 pass at Windy Hollow. But hay i was only 1.25 off.
