the first one, with the zany 70's side stripe and what appears to be mural art on the back of cab pillars.

putting a motor together is easy. building one right is a pain. getting in a hurry and tried to ignore the deck height. it bugged me to skip a important step in my rebuild. Pulled the heads off to check deck height. they were .043 in the hole. pulled it back apart to get the deck cut. that would have cost me a full point in compression. now I can put it together again.

No pressure what so ever, you will get it done in time to spare. Looks really good Ken.62galxe wrote:got the motor back together. now just got to put the truck back together. no hurry. I still got 92 days.

Finished up the brakelines, installed the rear brakes, removed the seat and gastank, cleaned the tank out, installed clutch linkage, and cut down the driveshaft and welded it back together. Had to steal the driveshaft yoke out of my 70 torino for the T5 in the truck. Now I just need universal joints. I like the way the banjo fittings worked out on the master cylinder. If you are careful you can drill and tap the bolt for the brakelight switch. Thats it for today and I am taking tomorrow off. You can get a lot done when its only 100 in the shade.

Looking good!!! I have to do my brakes too. The pedal goes to the floor right now, so I'm going to completely redo the system.
